Question by : Does the bankruptcy of the co-signer on my auto loan affect me?
My mom was my co-signer for my car loan and has now claimed bankruptcy. I have now lost the car. Must I also lose my credit score?

If you are making the payments on time, then you shouldn?t have lost the car. However, this was listed as a form of debt, and if she is the primary signer, then it will not affect your credit score.
